World Flight would not be possible without a team of people, their efforts throughout the year allow us to raise money for good causes during the year and this annual event.

Kenny Irvine                                       Kenny has been involved in the building for the sim from the start. Building, flying he does it all. Once we have relocated the sim to its new home he plans to build Spitfire cockpit

Allan Fulton                                           Allan is responsible for all the electrical work in the sim from the backlit panels to the working aircraft switches. He also is know to enjoy the odd flight in the sim when not planning his own 737NG project.

Bjorn Comhaire                                           Bjorn has designed the best A300B4-200 panel you can get for FS2004. The panel is second to none and his support and enthusiasm for our project has helped drive us on. you can find Bjorns panel here.

Jim Wilson                                               Jim is a real world dispatcher at Edinburgh airport and has been involved in aviation for many years. Jim has been responsible for the development of partnerships and finding future sponsors to ensure that the sim maximises it potential when raising funds for our supported charity.

Peter Ward                                             Since we met a few years ago, Peter has be responsible for my involvement in the online side of flight simming and controlling, and I guess that puts him close to the top of my wife’s hit list. With Peter’s help we hope to make the  experience people get when visiting the sim as true as possible to that of the flight deck of an operational Airbus A300F.

John Dick                                                John has supported our project from the very beginning and when the going has been getting tough, John has always been there to push us on and bring some great people to the sim. A huge sim fan John enthusiasm rubs off on everyone he meets.

Iain Sealey                                                Iain is a well known member of the flight sim community and with his real world skills he will help ensure that the crews are able to operate the simulator in a manner that reflect today’s real world airline operations. Iain’s experience will help us make a visit to the simulator during world flight a memorable one.

Andrew Banner                                              Andy is  member of the Compass VA and well know in the Australian Vatsim community. A flight sim enthusiast who’s is always willing to help other get the most out of our great hobby. Andy has stepped in this year to design and paint our new 2006 livery and like Alex despite the distance, he is doing what he can to ensure world flight continues to support those less fortunate than ourselves.

Nick Cunnington                                            Nick a commercial pilot, who spent many years simming. This will be Nicks 1st year at World Flight. Nicks experience will help make visits to the sim by the sponsored pilots much more interesting giving then an insight to commercial aviation. Nick is the final member of the dreaded motley crew.

Martin Leat                                             Just when you thought it was safe to go in the sim! Martin is another new recruit for 2007, and another experienced simmer who is currently working his way through his PPL. A long time member of Vatsim he is able to not only fly the sim but help support the rest of the fleet with atc duties when required. Another member of benny’s motley crew.

Chris Palmer                                               Chris visited the sim in 2006 on route to the Flight Sim show at the NEC, and hasn’t been allowed to leave. Since his visit Chris has supported our cause through his own company Angle of Attack. Residing in Salt Lake city is the effort Chris make to be involved is really appreciated.

Stuart Armstrong                                       I have know Stuart for a number of year, an experienced simmer that is about to embark on building his own 737 simulator, Stuart joins the crew for 2007. Stuart technical expertise is always good to have during a event that runs 24/7 for 7 days.

Graham Russell                                       Graham is our engineer. Whenever we need to make a part or adapt the real Airbus A300 parts, Graham is the man that gets the job done

Michael Benson                                       Michael aka Benny still has the scars from our two days stripping the Airbus A300 at Kemble. He is the holder of a PPL and causes a lot less damage when he sticks to flying the sim.

Steven Masson                                       Having started building the sim with Kenny Irvine and Michael Benson, I try to make sure the sim is run efficiently while trying to improve the build and feel as we go along. Rome was not built in a day and the sim is no different. Integrating real part will always be a challenge but with the help of friends the sim can only get better.

Dave Doak                                            Dave has agreed to put the sim through it’s paces while helping us ensure the procedures we use at the sim are an accurate reflect of real world operations. With Dave’s and Peter’s experience we should be able to create something that bit special.

Jim Gardner                                           Jim’s efforts in the week before WF2005 made sure we had a simulator to use, and now that the pressure is off he is helping us improve the feel and accuracy of the flight deck. Jim has undertaken a rebuild of the sim for 2006 and it will blow people away! A keen aviation photographer you can find some of his work at www.airliners.net

Gavin Findlay                                                 Gav gets the short straw and being local is having to earn his keep helping with the upgrade work we are carrying out on the sim. Although new to Vatsim, Gav is another hardcore simmer who is looking forward to the challenges world flight throws at us.

Nick Bather                                              Nick has been involved with the simulator since the beginning always ready to help and offer support. Nick has been with us all through the different stages of development and helped create something special that can be used support the our fund raising efforts. As commercial pilot Nick helps us create something as close as possible to a working flight deck.

Jackson Harding                                            Jackson is the CEO of Compass VA and the holder of PPL. Jackson an experienced simmer that joins the crew for 2007 having visited the sim during construction after the move in 2005. Jackson is doing World Flight the hard way flying is from Australia to take part, it must be the draw of the real ale at teams favourite “The fox and hounds”.

Richard Welsh                                             Ricky as he is know to his friends is the quiet man of the team. He always plays down his part but is always there helping out and supporting our fund raising efforts for ORBIS. A passionate simmer Ricky is always keen to develop his skills while helping others.

Alec Walker                                              An experienced simmer that joins the crew for 2007. Alec bring with him his real world experience with Flight Planner so that all our planning for the event is done in real time and as real as it gets. Unfortunately Alec has drawn the short straw and joins Benny’s crew. You can’t win them all Alec :0)

Alex Dunbar                                               Alex is just at the end his commercial pilot training, congratulations mate. He brings a wealth of knowledge to the team and is creating our new operations unit. Despite being on the other side of the world he is able to ensure the crews have all the latest information in real time.

John Goodwin                                         John visited the sim during WF2007 and enjoyed it so much he stayed. John has a wealth of real world aviation knowledge as well as his IT skills. It is great to have John as part of the team and that has nothing to do with his ability in the sausage butty department. :0)
